Installation Of Kali Linux 2020.1b Offline

In this blog we are going to do installation of Kali Linux 2020.1b offline in our system as primary OS. So, lets get started…..
Inorder to do installation of Kali Linux 2020.1b offline in our system, we need mainly two things,

• Bootable Pendrive(If you donot know how to create a bootable pendrive then click here)
  
• System that is capable to run Kali Linux
  

Step 1: First of all insert the bootable pendrive in your system and go to the BIOS setting of your system and select he boot device option and boot from the pendrive.

Step 2:
After booting from the pendrive, the installer opens, here simply select the ‘Graphical Install’ to install the Kali Linux 2020.1b in our system.



Step 3:
After selecting the Graphical Install option we need to select the language, so I am choosing the English language.



Step 4:
After selecting the language, we need to select the location, so I am from India, so I am choosing India and after selecting the location, simply hit enter.



Step 5:
Now we need to configure the Keyboard, so select the keymap in which you are confortable, so I am choosing American English and hit enter.



Step 6:
After configuring the keymap the installer will load additional components from the installation media and configure the network.






Step 7:
Here we need to provide the hostname to the system, SO I am entering Kali as Hostname of the system.

Here we need to provide the domain name for the system, if you have domain name then enter here, I am leaving as it is and hit enter.




Step 8:
This is the time to provide the full name of the new user, so enter the full username and hit enter. And after providing the full name enter the username and hit enter.

 

Step 9:
So, now this is time to provide a password to the new user. So, provide a unforgettable password to the new user and click on enter.

Step 10:

This is time to configure the disk partition wizard, so we are installing the system as single OS, so simply click on Guided-use entire disk. After selecting the option Guided-use entire disk it will shows the all disks where you can install the Kali Linux OS. So, select the disk location and hit enter.

Step 11:

After that we need to select the partition scheme, for the beginners select All files in one partition(recommended for new users) and hit enter.



After that this is time save the settings in the disk, so select Finish partitioning and write changes to disk.

Step 12:

When we select Finish partitioning and write changes to disk after that it will confirms to write changes to the disk, so click on Yes and hit Enter.

Step 13:

Now the system will start install the base system in the computer. Tis process will take approx 10
minutes to complete.

Step 14:

After installing the base system it will start configuring the apt, we donot have internet connection so it fails and asks to select and install software in our system.



So, inorder to install offline, do the software selection as below and hit enter.



After the software selection, it will install the softwares and starts install GRUB boot loader as master boot record, so click on yes and hit enter.

Step 15:

After that we need to select the disk where we are going to install the GRUB boot loader, so select the disk and hit enter. After installing the GRUB boot loader, it starts finishing the installation.

Step 16:

After that there is message about Finish the installation, so click on continue and make sure to remove the bootable pendrive and hit enter.

Now the system will reboot and installation of Kali linux 2020.1b offline is completed.
